About the Role
Working closely with the Software Development Manager, you will develop software systems to a specified brief. You will help to clarify and refine the brief in collaboration with clients and other team members.
While the above forms the core of the day to day role, additional activities may be requested of you, and as a pro-active member of the company you would be expected to assist members of the team in achieving company related goals. A fuller list of day to day tasks can be found in section 3.3 of this document.

Key Responsibilities
Sales and Customer Relationships
Whilst this is not primarily a customer facing role, you will have some client interactions by phone, email and occasional meetings. You will need good communication/presentation skills and analytical abilities to help deliver best in class customer service to our customers.
Software Development
Working closely with the Software Development Manager, you will develop software systems to a specified brief. You will help to clarify and refine the brief in collaboration with clients and other team members. Use appropriate project management tools for version control and issue tracking.
You will work on a wide range of software development projects. Primarily, PHP based web applications will be at the core of our projects, but a common feature is that our applications will interface with a wide variety of other systems.
Research and Development
In conjunction with the Software Development Manager, participate in research and development and product evaluation programmes to ensure that the software team remains at the forefront in the industry, applies the most cost-effective methods and approaches, provides leading-edge products and services and retains its competitive edge.
General
While the above forms the core of the day to day role, additional activities maybe requested of you, and as a pro-active member of the company you would be expected to help in any reasonable request.
