Stop Cyber Attacks – 18/04/23

The 18th April saw us kick off our series of events starting with – Protecting Your Organisation from Cyber Attacks.  This event brought business owners together from across the Sheffield area to learn more about how they could protect their businesses from cyber attacks through staff training and education.

The Event covered the topics including:

1) Importance of staff training – turn your biggest weakness into your greatest asset and first line of defence. (and MFA – getting your staff on side)

2) “Essentials” what are the essential pieces of hardware / software to have in place, Patch Management, Spam Protection, Antivirus, Firewalls What are they? What do they do?

3) Backup… if we are doing all that ^ do we need to back up? Even if I am using Office 365?

4) What do you do if the worst happens – Actions after a breach – and how else to prepare for one (Insurance)?
